Martial law is the unforgettable event in the history of the Philippines because many people are abused and many people were killed in Martial Law. If we look back in the past maybe we are also traumatized because many soldier used power to harm other people.

According to Wikipedia, Martial law in the Philippines refers to several inttermittent periods in Philippine history wherein the Philippine tread of state places an area under the control of the Armed forces of the Philippines and its predecessor bodies. Martial Law is declared either when there is near-violent civil unrest on in cases of major natural disasters, however most countries use a different legal construct like “state of emergency”.

Typically, the imposition of martial law accompanies curfews, the suspension of civil law, civil rights, habeas corpus, and the application or extension of military law or military justice to civilians. Civilians defying martial law may be subjected to military.

As the summary of these essay, Many people are abused and have no rights in the time of martial law because of the Law of the President Marcos. Martial Law is declared either when there is near-violent civil unrest on in cases of major natural disaster.

Guns symbolize “violence” or the Martial Law. Soldiers used guns to harm, killed and abused other people.
