Based on our report that we’ve done we are tacled the story of Apo on the Wall assign by reader’s response approach. The flow of the poem has the similarities of the martial law and also for those characteristics that we’ve mention. Regarding this our group has decide to research about more information that connected to the Apo on the Wall. The main theme of the poem has give to our group the curiosity to find out what is the message of the poem. For being assign to reader’s response approach. I was asked to find more about it and connect it to the poem and then. I discovered that there are thing that the same in to the martial law by Marcos.

In the poem according to the characters that the portrait represent a powerful human like scary Jesus in the hall way represented by Marcos and the man that has a lot of privilege, the award with trophies he represented to his Filipino country men. Martial law is described as one of the darkest chapters in Philippine history. There’s a lot of Filipino’s who sacrificed of that day. Marcos has the powerful words you cannot speak against of him otherwise you are dead. A man rules was impose a human rights were violated and that represented of the son based on the poem.

In short, the Apo on the Wall has the historic information to the reader the idea from the poem of one soldier’s one boy and the scary Jesus has the same thing with the martial law. Based on the article of martial law I suppose to be use the reader’s response approach to the information who is the victim who was experience on that day because, I am in the 21st century, I don’t have any idea about the martial law because im too young.
